List any two observations when copper sulphate is heated in dry test tube.
The concept of dry test tube has already been discussed in our previous post. As you remember that in our last post we performed an experiment with ferrous sulphate compound.
Now, in this post we take copper sulphate compound. And try to observe what happens.
But before we proceed to an experiment. Let’s know the chemical formula of copper sulphate compound.

Now, our question is, what will happens if we heat copper sulphate compound in a dry test tube. So let’s see
Answer:- The following are the two observations that we observed when we heated copper sulphate compound in a dry test tube.
- When we heated copper sulphate compound in a dry test tube for some time the changing of color takes place. Means the initial color stage of a copper sulphate compound was blue but after heating it turned into white.
- During the heating process of copper sulphate compound some drop of water molecules observed on the upper side of test tube. This happens because copper sulphate compound looses it color and become dry.
