How to become a floriculturist in India
To become a floriculturist in India. You have to follow the following steps.
Step 1:- first complete class 12th board with 60% aggregate marks in PCMB.
Step 2:- Make sure you have physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics subjects in class 12. Mathematics is not compulsory.
Step 3:- After class 12th board. Take admission in graduation.
Step 4:- The subject in graduation should be in bachelor of science in biology or botany.
Step 5:- After completing b.sc. Give the entrance of HORTICET exam.
Step 6:- In horticulture field choose one subject as floriculture. Because floriculture is a part of horticulture.
Difference between horticulture and floriculture.
The main difference between horticulture and floriculture are as follows:-
- Horticulture is the branch of science that comes under botany but floriculture is the branch of science that comes under horticulture.
- If a person complete the education in horticulture is known as horticulturist but if a person complete the education in floriculture is known as floriculturist.
- A horticulturist can get jobs in floriculture as well as in other horticulture field. But a floriculturist can get jobs only in floriculture field.
- Floriculture is a part of horticulture but horticulture is not a part of floriculture.

- Cut plants :- This type of floriculture is done in gardens and parking area. In some hotel’ s parking area or park. You have seen some animals structure made from grass. That is called cut plants.
