Instructions
There are total three sections that divides the all 20 questions. Namely section A, B, and C.
Section A has 20 questions, out of that we have to give answer of only 16.
Section B has also 20 questions, out of that we have to give answer of only 16.
Section C has 10 questions, based on case studies. Out of 10 questions, we have to answer only 8.
The full marks of the exam is 40. Because each question carried 1 marks.
The time allotted for the exam is 90 minutes.
1. A box contains cards numbered 6 to 50. A card is drawn at random from the box. The probability that the drawn card has a number which is a perfect square like 4,9….is
(a) 1/45
(b) 2/15
(c) 4/45
(d) 1/9
Solution :-
Number of cards = last term – first term + 1
Number of cards = 50 – 6 + 1
Number of cards = 45
If any one ask you another question like how many cards are there between 10 to 90. Then you can apply this formula,
Number of cards = last term – first term + 1
Number of cards = 90 – 10 + 1
Number of cards = 81
Now, The probability that the drawn card has a number which is a perfect square like 4,9….is
There are total 5 perfect square between 6 to 50.
Probability = No. of possible out come / total no. of card.
Probability = 5/45 = 1 / 9
Hence, option D is the answer.
