What is VTU CGPA?
The mathematical definition of VTU cgpa is VTU CGPA = ∑(Ci x Si) / ∑ Ci.
Where, ‘si’ is less than the SGPA and ‘ci’ is less than total credit in a particular semester.
In other words, VTU CGPA is defined as, It is equal to the sum of your aggregate percentage and 0.75.

After calculating SGPA for all the semesters, you can calculate the overall CGPA by taking the weighted average of all SGPA values, just like we did above.
Important Points:
- You must know your marks for each subject, convert them to the appropriate grade points, and use the number of credits for each subject in your calculation.
- You will typically be given a transcript or result sheet that shows your grade points, credits, and SGPA for each semester, from which you can calculate your CGPA.
This method gives you a CGPA that ranges from 0 to 10.
